I am back

It has been quite a while since I posted, but I have decided to take a new direction.

It has been a very difficult couple of years for us, especially this year.

If you don’t follow my YouTube channel, Vickie’s Country Home, you might not know what I am referring to.

In mid January 2022, my husband Brian got the virus, which became progressively worse, even after being treated in the ER with antibiotics. Then at the end of January, two very close friends, a husband and wife, passed away within 2 days, one suddenly.

The same day the husband passed away, Brian was taken to the hospital in an ambulance with the “virus” pneumonia. Fortunately he was able to come home 4 days later, although the weakness lasted a while.

From the end of January through early October, I took care of our friends house, as their children were in other states. This is in addition to my bookkeeping business and homestead. It has been difficult to keep up, but we do what we have to.

Taking a step back, our daughter Shana got married in May of 2021, and in June 2021 moved to Texas with her new husband. On July of this year he reported her missing. 10 days later her remains were found 75 yards from the RV that they lived in. That was an extremely long 10 days!

As of now (early December), there are still no answers.

Brian and I had three children. I had a son from a previous marriage, and Brian had 2 daughters from a previous marriage. But all 3 were our children.

Now, all 3 are gone. I know all 3 believed in Christ as their savior, and I know they are all safe in the arms of Jesus. But it is still very hard for us.

So. For now we trust God, and have faith, that answers will come, and justice (if possible) will be served.

I will occasionally come on here to give my thoughts, about this, or whatever is currently happening. But you are likely to see recipes, thoughts, ideas, or how to’s most of the time.

I will usually have a video of the recipe on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@VickiesCountryHome

I hope you will join me.
